Wegovy starts low and can be built up gradually through a step-by-step titration, with each dose taken for at least four weeks before any move up. Starting low and building slowly is what keeps side effects manageable while the medication takes hold.

A deliberately gentle start. The aim is adjustment, not effect, though many people notice appetite changes already.
You choose your dose at every step, and your clinician reviews any move up with you before it's prescribed. If a dose is working and well tolerated, there is no rush to move up. Not everyone needs the highest dose.
One pen, once a week. Easier than you think.
Wegovy comes as a pre-filled FlexTouch pen you inject once a week, on the same day each week, with or without food. Most people find it far easier than they expected.
Keep pens in the fridge until first use, and rotate your injection site each week, stomach, thigh, or upper arm.

Side effects
What is normal, and what is not.
Most side effects are digestive, mild, and most noticeable around dose changes while your body adapts. Knowing what is normal, and what is not, keeps you confident.

- Nausea, especially in the first days after a dose increase
- Constipation or diarrhoea
- Indigestion, burping, or reduced appetite beyond what you expect
- Headache or tiredness in the first weeks
- Redness or itching at the injection site

- Severe stomach pain that does not pass, with or without vomiting
- Signs of dehydration, such as dizziness or dark urine
- Pain in the upper right of your abdomen (gallbladder symptoms)
- An allergic reaction: swelling, rash, or trouble breathing
- Persistent vomiting that stops you keeping fluids down

Wegovy is a once-weekly injection using a pre-filled pen. Your dose is stepped up gradually under clinical review, and your plan includes clear guidance on how and when to use it.
Do you offer Wegovy 7.2mg?
Yes, we offer the Wegovy 7.2mg single-use pen. Select this dose during your online consultation. You'll need to have used the 2.4mg injection for 4 weeks before moving up to 7.2mg.
What are the common side effects?
Most people tolerate semaglutide well. Mild digestive effects such as nausea, reduced appetite and occasional reflux are common when starting and usually ease within the first few weeks. If symptoms are severe or persist, contact your clinician.
How much does Wegovy cost?
Pricing is per dose and follows the dose you're on. On the monthly plan it's £105 a month for 0.25mg, rising to £245 for 7.2mg, delivery included. The 3-month plan is £5 a month less and the 6-month plan £10 a month less. You can also pay per order with no plan, for £20 more. New patients get £40 off their first month. If a UK-registered clinician decides treatment isn't right for you, you're refunded in full.
How do I store my Wegovy pen?
Store in the fridge between 2°C and 8°C, or at room temperature up to 30°C after first use for a maximum of 42 days (28 days for the 7.2mg single-dose pen). Do not use if frozen, cloudy, discoloured or if the pen is damaged.
How long does approval take?
Once you complete the online consultation, a specialist clinician reviews your order, usually within 48 working hours. You may be invited for a video consultation, particularly if you're new to treatment.
Can I pause or stop?
Yes, you're in control. You can pause or stop any time from your account, and your clinician will advise on doing so safely.
